Join the action! 4th International Week of Action Against the Militarisation of Youth

This week (20-26 November) is the International Week of Action Against the Militarisation of Youth. During the week, activists from across various countries are taking actions, organising events, and publishing articles to raise awareness of how the military and military values are promoted to young people, and what we can do to challenge it. See a list of events happening here, follow us on social media (Facebook and Twitter) for the updates from the actions happening, and post stories of youth militarisation -and resistance to it- from your countries with the hashtag #demilitarisedyouth.

Exciting news! Piecing it Together, the WRI's Feminism and Nonviolence Study group's extraordinary pamphlet of 1983 has just been published in Catalan by the Institut Català Internacional per la Pau.

Tightening the Purse Strings: What Countering Terrorism Financing Costs Gender Equality and Security, was published by our affiliate the Women Peacemakers Program along with the International Human Rights Clinic at Duke University, in March this year. It analyses how countering terrorism financing rules impact women’s rights organising, women’s rights organisations, and gender equality.
