RSS feeds on the WRI website

WRI homepage > Network > WRI website > RSS feeds

Why RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (one of the many things RSS is supposed to stand for) is a way of checking for updates to a website or part of a website as if you were checking your email -- that is, through a simple click or through opening a dedicated program which does all the checking for you. Summary information is delivered to you, and you can then go on to read the whole article or articles which interest you.

Tools for using RSS

War Resisters' International's RSS feeds work best with mail programs and integrated browsers such as Thunderbird, Netscape, and Opera; browser plugins such as Sage and Pluck; and freestanding RSS readers (of which there are many). It can also be imported into the Firefox browser as a "live bookmark".

Magpie

Magpie is a tool for converting RSS back into ordinary HTML. This may not seem to make a lot of sense, but it has the advantage of allowing readers to convert the latest update of any RSS feed and have it appear as a list.
