Tax resisters in Spain have supported the Nonviolence Programme at War Resisters' International, by pooling the money from their tax contributions that would otherwise have been given to the Spanish military. Several dozen activists from the Bilbao region of Spain raised funds, and throughout Spain hundreds of activists from MOC-AA objected to the militarisation of their taxes by refusing to pay thousands of euros.
