ISRAEL: First of the signatories of the 'Letters of the Officers' sentenced for refusing to serve

en

War Resisters' International learned today that Amit Gal, on of the signatories of the 'Letters of the Officers' (see www.seruv.org.il), has been sentenced to 28 days in prison for refusing to perform reserve services in the occupied Gaza Strip yesterday.
Amit Gal is the first among the signatories of this famous letter to be imprisoned since the letter was published - but several of the signatories already spent time in prison before the letter was made public.

War Resisters' International calls for letters of support to Amit Gal.
