Dear readers of CO-Update.

Sorry for sending this twice - you will have noticed that the first edition you received included the Editorial from our June-July issue. Apologies, but we hit the "Send" button to quickly.
While working on this issue of CO-Update, which reports on the important judgement of the grand chamber of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Bayatyan v Armenia (see main article), we have also been working on the final call for an international day of action for imprisoned Egyptian pacifist Maikel Nabil Sanad (see below). While the first shows the positive impact of coordinated action in support of the right to conscientious objection, the latter highlights the continued need for support for COs - not only in Egypt.
