Scalable vector graphics

Note on file types: The scalable vector graphic standard (SVG) is a part of the XML specification, supported by some word processing and browser programs as well as graphics programs. A browser plugin for viewing SVG can be downloaded from Adobe.
The SXD format is used by the open-source OpenOffice suite, while EPS is the long-established format for encapsulated PostScript files. An EPS cannot be edited directly, but can be incorporated directly into a print-ready document.
