Dear Mr Shaul Mofaz, Minister of Defence

I am very concerned about the imprisonment of conscientious objectors Chaim Feldman, Eldar Kirsch, Noam Atzman, and Lieut T..
Chaim Feldman was already imprisoned a year ago, and now refuses to serve in the IDF alltogether, while the others serve their first prison term for refusing to serve in the Occupied Territories. Their conscientious objection - whether pacifist or selective - is an expression of the human right of freedom of conscience, as guaranteed by the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, to which Israel is a signatory.
I therefore call on you to stop this practice, and to stop the repeated imprisonment of conscientious objectors, which already now is in breach of international legal standards.
I therefore urge you to immediately release all imprisoned conscientious objectors. I urge you to respect human rights.
